Scenic Sunday--Cactus Wing
This cactus wing is the hot part in the Conservatory! If you are coming in this area, be prepared to sweat! I haven't spent a lot of time in here since I am too nervous watching the children run around, and worry about the thorns on some cacti.
Yellow Blooms
People tend to walk through very fast in this part of the Conservatory, and the reason is usually the hot temperature in it. Often, I was in a hurry to get out also since the kids are too rambunctious in here.

Cactus is a unique plant that looks very different from others.
ReplyDeleteAnd it protects itself well by the thorns.
i love cactus...i have few that survived 2 winters already! they hardly need tending at all. i think they're gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love all the different cactus plants. Great photos and very scenic.
ReplyDeleteThese look like some sort of a jade plant...very shiny leaves! They look like the heat isn't bothering them!
ReplyDeleteVery special photo's. I love catussus. Thank you for visiting
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my playground. Much appreciated. Beautiful shots my friend. Very unusual :) Have a great Sunday :)
ReplyDeletei love cactus, i missed my cactus monday actually :( . anuway, beautiful pictures Icy.
ReplyDeleteOh Icy, these cactus are gorgeous and so colorful. Love the photos. It can be very humid in the conservatories so I know what you mean. However it's worth the beautiful scenery.
ReplyDeleteI like cactus too. I wouldn't worry too much about the kids running around. Just try to stay out of their way. If any of them accidentally runs into a cactus they probably won't ever do it again.
ReplyDeleteCactus are so resilient, they're awesome.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful plantation, are they house leeks Icy?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cacti and succulents, I love those pretty yellow blooms. One of them is called a Ghost Plant I see, I am going to have to look that one up.
ReplyDeleteNOt me, Icy. I'd be spending ALL my time in the hot part.:-) We went to Eden Project (in Cornwall, about 5 hours away by train). It's hot and tropical in there because they preserve the tropical plants for future generations.
ReplyDeleteI loved it there.
I like simple cacti like those, this lunch out I saw nice cabbage looking cacti planted neatly by the restaurant's garden. So nice.
ReplyDeleteI really like all the succulents. There is such variety!
