There

There you are!
Standing by the door, among others
Our eyes meet,
And we are happy all over.

There is a bond between us
That no words can describe
Just a smile, a look, a little touch
We knew that we belonged together

There is a place in my heart
For you and only you
Whatever the future holds
I love you and you should know

There is a space in my soul
Wherever I go, you came along
When I am sad and lonely
Whisper your name is my sanctuary.

There you are!
Coming into a crowded room
Our eyes meet,
And you smile, dancing in your feet..

  7. Hello Icy,

I find it interesting that so many people read happiness in this poem. Certainly the emotion the loved one brings internally is joy, but I read in this that the love is not allowed to be seen by everyone else. Perhaps that is just my personal experience shining through...but I think it is so sad to not be able to express that love publicly. As the song goes..."we kiss in the shadow, we hide from the moon, our meetings are few, and over too soon." (one of my favourite tunes btw)

  8. Joanne,

Now, only if I could find that feelings again :-)

    rainfield,

Poetry is just another form expression! There will be plenty of sad, happy, silly, and depression ones..

    Ratty,

This was an old feeling that I recorded down..Warning, sad poems are also coming :-)

    Dragonsongbird,

You've guessed it right! And the way you pick up what's in my poem is amazing! The feeling or the love wasn't to be public..
