White Wild Flower

By now you must know that I'm not good in remembering or knowing the names for my flowers. If I see them, I just want to take pictures, and forget about everything else.

My son and I went to Metro Park for the afternoon last weekend, and for the first time, we checked out the Nature Trail. (Thanks Ratty, I am now stalking your adventure!)

We didn't get too far when I spotted these little white flowers! It literally took my breath away, and my son had to stop on his track to indulge in my findings.

Weed or Flower?

Growing on the side of the trail are these beautiful bushes of white flowers. They were among the weeds that were taller than my head. Some were soaking in the sun, and some were hidden in the shade.

A Bug on Me

In just a blink, the sun yielded some shade, and I saw this tiny bug on the flower. It was busy drinking the nectar and didn't mind my camera closing in for a look.

Simply Elegant

This picture was not what I had in mind, but it turned out to be just elegant! You could see the bud with all its little silk around, and the flower was just pure white in the sun.

In Your Face

Perfect circle on this flower! I love the layers of petals around the yellow center, and the dotted or seeds on it.

All Open

One single flower that was all open, and mature! The white petals were really white and bright that I had not seen that shade of white before.

Daisy

Let just called this flower daisy! There were many ready to bloom buds on this branch that I was just thrilled to see.

Bountiful

These flowers were just wonderful! They first opened up like a cup, and as they matured, the petals felt back toward the stem.

On Display

These white flowers are open, and on display! It was love at first sight for me, though at this point my son had lost his patience waiting around. He started to climb on the hill a bit further away from me.

Then came a man on his motorcycle with a suspicious behavior. I didn't have a good feeling when he circled closer to me, but I tried very hard not to let it showed on my now very annoying thought that he had invaded my private moment.

Needless to say, we decided to skip the trail since the man spooked us out with his peculiar behavior!

  5. I'm glad you decided to try the nature trails. It's a really good feeling standing in the middle of the forest. It's a shame the creepy motorcycle guy had to come along and spoil part of it. I had a very similar experience today. I actually took pictures of that same exact type of flower. It was the only flower I saw today. I still haven't yet examined my bug on it. I was interrupted by an annoyingly loud group of people coming up behind me so I finally left. Still a great day. Your flower pictures turned out much better than mine.
