Wild Flower In My Backyard

Oh, the joy of my backyard discovery is overwhelming for the last few days! This flower bush is tucked neatly in the back corner of my yard, next to a big pine tree.

It is considered to be some kind of weeds, and usually we would just pull it out during Spring clean up, but the weather this year is very strange with lot of rain, and this wild flower blooms before we have a chance to get to it. What a blessing it was as I am so thrilled to see this!

Unique Thistle

I believe this flower belongs to the thistle family, though the petals are bigger and not pointy at the ends. This flower has the same body shape and texture!

Two of a Kind

From a further distance, you can see these flowers have the similar characteristics of thistle! This has got to be my favorite color: light and soft lavender!

Straight Forward

At every angle, this flower brings on a different look of beauty. I must have took at least a hundred shots of this great discovery. Who would have thought that weeds can be so gorgeous?

The Thistle Family

This is the only group of flowers that I see in our backyard. It was like a treasure chest for me, not with gold, but with thistles. I visit it every day and with different lighting, they also look different and unique!

Growing Old

You can see the flowers are getting old, and as they get old, these silky threads look like fuzz balls, and turn white. They are just as stunning as the flowers once were.

At the End

This is whatever left of the flower! I have used this one in close-up mode for one of my poems! I am in awe some times with what macro photography can actually brings.

Since I enjoy seeing things through the lens of my little camera, I also found many great moments and beautiful things to admire mother nature! I will not claim myself as a photographer. I am just happy as a normal person that see great things and appreciate them.

Amazing that a flower with such beautiful color and texture is often considered a weed. Glad you let this treasure grow and shared your gorgeous pictures of it. It even looks great at the end!

I cannot believe these are considered weeds since they are so unique and beautiful. Great photos and how wonderful to have these natural beauties in your backyard.

I've seen these many times before. There are so many kinds of weeds that are beautiful. It makes me wonder why some are called weeds and others are called flowers. They all look nice to me. I'm glad I'm not the only one who appreciates some of these things we call weeds.

Beautiful find. That is what is so pure about appreciation, as it is valued in any environment, and circumstance. :) Observing these flowers makes way for life, and that is worth more than material significance. :) Nice to drop by again, and thank you so much for visiting my site.

this flower remind me of some living creatures that live in the ocean, where in the movie Memo, the fish hide to stay away from the shark
