At the End

I have not yet seen his face
But at the very end of the hall way
His eyes shine toward my place
Ignite a fire on my blushing cheeks

Every step closer he takes
My heart pounds a thousand beats
Just a little look he passes by me
I am happy as a little child

Every time he walks by me
I close my eyes and imaging a life
With a love so pure and deep
And a world of peace and beauty

Oh how I wish to be by him
Every day and every night
In his arms, I lay so tight
In his heart, I find solace

At the very end of the hall way
I saw him, stands on his tippy toes
Looks around, and looks for me
Our eyes meet, smile on our faces!

This is a great poem, Icy. You have a wonderful way of writing anything.

I like the longing with a bit of mystery in this one. Even at the end the mystery doesn't quite fade.

Lovely poem here again Icy. I love what you've done with the photo too.
