A Better Choice

As I am contemplating about Direct TV, I check out many different companies that provide this service. There are quite a few providers out there, and the prices are very compatible to one another.

The thing that concerns me most is customer service, as it seems there is no such thing anymore nowadays. If I call, I will be on hold for a while, or you have to listen for hundreds of numbered options to choose from. Then in the end my phone call will be answered by someone oversea that I can barely understand.

Don't get me wrong, but when I am using minutes on my cell phone to wait and then repeatedly having to say "excuse me, but what did you say?" or "please slow down and repeat because I don't understand you" can be very irritating quickly.

Before making a huge decision to switch to DirectTV, I have to test out how the company handles their customer service to avoid lots of headache later. Once I am certain that switching to Directv is the right choice for me, I will go for it.

For $29.99 a month, I will have access to 150 channels and it costs around $1.00 a day, whether I watch it or not. My cable cost about the same for the amount of money, but I only have around 25 channels. Therefore, this seems like a sensible choice to make for me.

Within a couple of days, I will be a Directv customer!

  1. You have certainly done a lot of research into this, Icy. Hopefully, customer service will continue to be excellent. Sometimes it seems one way in the buyer phase and changes completely after the product is purchased!
