Little Blue Flowers
Today the sun tried to come out over a very gray sky, but it only makes a few shiny moments. The sun comes and goes. By five o'clock in the evening, we are in darkness.
I feel a sense of the blues at this time of the year. So I dig my archive, and these little blue flowers seem to do the trick.
Blue Flowers With Yellow Touches
My friend Anne, at A Blogger's Books has just sent me a flower book to look up for names, but I can't find these flowers any where in it. So if you know, tell me.
They Grow in a Circle
The petals are very delicate and almost translucent. They grow around the stem and form a circle. They are very fascinating to see.
They Are Lavender, Actually
In the pictures above, I call them little blue flowers, but in my original folders, they are lavender. I love purple, so I am pushing it.

lovely flower..
ReplyDeleteThough I do not have winter over here, the day is shorter by now. Anyhow, the darkness arrives only after seven in the evening.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen them before, but they're really pretty. It's good to be able to see flowers at this time of year, even if it's only on the Internet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the plug. I really appreciate it.
I like the autumn look of Dances of Dreams.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty little blue flowers, it looks familiar but I'm not sure what it is. Great photos of a really pretty flower Icy.
ReplyDeleteJudy
yeah they are lavender =)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely NOT lavender :-)
ReplyDeleteScaviola, a wonderful australian plant. Also comes in white and I am sure your local nursery has some for sale. Great for summer bedding.
