My Kitchen Comes First
A friend recent asked me "what do you need to remodel most in your house", and you only have one choice! It must be a tricky question because I really have to prioritize what I want to get done first. I go down my dream list of things and pick my kitchen for the pretend remodeling.
No, we are not immature girls, but rather are very mature women. We don't stop dreaming just because we are older. I don't have double kitchen ranges in my house, in fact, my electric ranges only have two burners, and it takes twice as long to heat anything up comparing to gas ranges.
I don't like to cook that often, and dread family gathering/party for the above reasons. If I must hold a family event, I have to use my BBQ, oven, and toaster oven to get my foods cooking. This chore is fine when the weather is warm, but during winter, it can be a big hassle.
Considering the space I have in my house, I would prefer compact gas ranges and free standing gas ranges since I don't have a choice. Then again, any kind of ranges are just fine as long as it is efficient and ease my frustration with just two burners.
To answer my friend's question, my kitchen would be my choice for remodeling, before the roof or the garage, or the bathroom. I guess I'm just practical!
