Scenic Sunday--The Detroit Yacht Club
To get off the island, we have to drive by this beautiful landmark of Belle Isle, The Detroit Yacht Club. Usually, I had no interest in this area, but on that day, the scenery was just beautiful.
This was what I saw driving up toward the bridge. I love the green color by the dock and the building is a mystery to me since I've never set foot in it.
The dock was pretty much empty since it's winter, but in the summer, there were plenty of boats all around this building.
I like this time of the year when all the trees are bare, because I can see more of this building, and other things around it.
This is the last shot from the bridge view. The building looks much bigger on this side.

I remember this place. This is the place we used to see on our way out of Belle Isle. I used to wonder about it, but it was the place for people that had a lot of money. I agree though that it is a very beautiful place. I always wanted a closer look. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Very nice photos, Icy...I'll bet the place is packed during the summer months but I'm sure it draws quite a number of people in the spring and fall as well.

The place is so peaceful and quiet, I wouldn't mind a nice stroll by the bridge icy.
