Scenic Sunday--Bridge to the Conservatory
These photos are from my fall archives. I haven't been back to Belle Isle since November because of time constrain, distant, and cold weather.
This is the bridge that we drove on to get to the Conservatory if I am coming from the Detroit river side! There is another way to get there, but this is our regular route since we like to see the river when we are on the island.
In the summer, my little boy likes to go the edge of the water by the bridge to catch bluegills, and crayfishes. We don't eat them, but they are fun for him to spend some time with nature.

That is a really neat bridge, it has so much character. I can see why this was your favorite route to the Conservatory.

ReplyDeleteHaving lived in New Orleans for about seven years ( went to nursing school there ), I am crazy about crawfish...I could eat three dozen myself. Are there that many in your water by the bridge? I'll be over when the thaw begins!!!
ReplyDeleteThe artistry in that bridge is very well crafted. I hope you can get out to your conservatory soon. I know how much you love being there.
ReplyDeleteI remember going to places like this and seeing so many crayfish when I was a boy too. These are beautiful pictures of the bridge and the conservatory in the background.
