Sky Watch--With a Robin
I don't know why but I have seen so many robins around here lately. The weather is still cold, and snowy, but robins come out in groups. They are fatter than I have seen them in the summer, and are not that scare to fly away when they see people.

There was a group of these chubby robins perching on the tree in the parking lot where I picked up the children from school. However, I only wanted to focus on just this one, and tried to avoid their bombs on my head.

I was looking for sky picture, but this robin came into sight, so I was distracted. Anyway, it still showed the beautiful blue sky in the back ground, and the robin was a bonus.

A few days ago, I saw another group of robin near home, all fluffy and chubby like this one in the pictures. They were tearing the dried flower branches along the fence and flied away. This ritual went on for a while.

Not only robins gathering dried branches, but squirrels too. I actually watched them struggling to pull the dried leaves and branches away from the fence. I'm thinking that robins are building their nests since Spring is almost here. Could it be?

wow, such lovely robin n blue sky!
What great shots! Love the robins and they are chubby fellows aren't they? And I love the bare branches against that lovely blue sky! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

The background blues make the robin standout! I am still out of luck at bird photography!
Your chubby robin is adorable! The blue sky and bare tree make a perfect background. Happy Sky Watch and have a wonderful weekend!
That's a very chubby little robin. I like robins that way. I think there must be plenty of food for them to stay in this area through the winter. I've seen robins and squirrels building nests too. That's one of the most interesting experiences.
I love to see the Robins coming back! None here yet but I am watching. Thanks for the pics of this healthy little guy!
I thought from your thumbnail shot it was a robin.
My Mom lives an hour away from me and has seen many but I'm still watching. With three inches of new snow they'd have to dig deep. :)
Lovely shots!
Uh huh and you did capture the sky so well, I can see it in between the branches of the trees and behind that chubby robin. Very nice Icy.

Pretty shots of the robin and sky!
Robins are my favorite bird. You did a great job on catching these in such cute positions. They look like they have been eating well during the winter.
So wonderful to see robins again! It's still winter here, but this gives me hope. Lovely blue sky too!
It seems to be a busy winter to the critters, after a long good rest?
Nice pictures. I'm from Michigan and the Robin is the state bird. So naturally they're on of my favorite birds.

Yep, it could be, Spring is almost here. Those are fantastic pics and this robing certainly likes to eat :D
Spring is nearing!
Your robin looks completely different to the robins in the U.K.! What kind is it?
Thank you everyone for stopping by..
John,
I'm pretty sure it is the red chest robin!
We do not get them here and I recall the times I've seen the red breasted robins in the UK.
You had a really great shot of that robin, Icy. I love robins because they signify warmer weather.
Nice capture and beautiful angles.
Oh wow, what a sighting! I haven't seen one. You have captured the Robin beautifully. There is art in all the branches that surrounds it, making it stand out! :)
The robins are so cute, those look a little fatter than the ones I have seen here the last couple of weeks.
I am seeing nest appearing here so it must be the season for nesting. Great captures on the robins Icy.
Hermosa imagen...parece estar tan protegido el pajarito entre las ramas...
Saludos
