Yellow Sun Flower

This was my yellow sun flower from the summer. I guess I can't wait to get my hands in the dirt again. Once the flowers bloomed, we had plenty of visitors. The buzzing never seemed to stop.

I bought a bag of sun flower seeds, kept it over night in a dam paper towel, and planted them in our garden. They took root really fast and grew into these beautiful flowers.

This bag of seeds came with different colors of sun flowers, but the yellow ones were classic. These sun flowers were on a smaller size than others were, but they were amazing to have in our small garden.

The Native Americans in Northern Arizona (Hopis, Navajos) have a saying that the summer sunflowers will be as tall as the winter snows fall. I wonder how tall the sunflowers were in various areas of the country last summer!

These are very pretty.

Great summer dreams! My experiment with sunflowers failed last year, but maybe I'll try again.

This is such a cheerful flower...every garden should have them. How could you be gloomy with those in bloom??

That bee seems to like the sunflower as much as you do. Maybe it's because their colors match so well. The combination of the two is very good.

A lovely colour to brighten up my mood today. It's a very cloudy, dull, wet day here.

Like the great definition you captured in the petals in that first shot. That bee has quite the camouflage going on.
