Cluster of Yellow Bell Flowers
I am not sure what these flowers are called. When I look them up, some said they are Markhamia lutea, yellow bean tree, while others said they are yellow hibiscus. To me, they are just beautiful yellow flowers.
These pictures were taken last year at a local nursery. I love the shape of these flowers since they look like bells, or trumpets.
The flowers bloom in a cluster, with dotted red veins in middle. The yellow color is vibrant and very cheerful.
If you know what they are, how to grow them, please leave me a comment. I would love to try to grow these yellow flowers this summer.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure one of the commenters will know, good luck!
I can just hear them ringing for the humming birds and butterflies. Sorry, I can't help in the green thumb area as to what and how...
ReplyDeleteHappy spring blessings ;-)
They're pretty, whatever they are! They look a lot like mimulus, or Monkey Flower, but without seeing how big the plant is, or what the leaves are like, it can be difficult to say.
ReplyDeleteLovely yellow color in those flowers. I like the veining inside too.
ReplyDeleteThe petals are very cheerful with their bright yellow color. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIcyB just to let you know that I've been over and can't see the photos - I know that blogger is having big issues today with their images and they have put the information on their blog about their technical difficulties.
ReplyDeleteI'll try and pop over tommorrow to see if I recognise these blooms for you.

ReplyDeleteHave no idea what these are Icy, but they are so refreshing to look at.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what they are. The flower looks like a hibiscus but am not sure about the rest of the plant so it could be something else :-)) They are beautiful though and bring a ray of yellow sunshine to my day.
ReplyDeleteI did a Google photo search for both kinds you mentioned. They look like hibiscus to me, but I think you already know how I am at identifying flowers.
ReplyDeleteIcy, they are stunning. I hope you find out.
ReplyDeletei used to have a yellow bell plant...i loved it so much
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful flowers, they would definitely brighten up a garden.
ReplyDeleteI saw some of these last year and almost brought them home. I had to look up the name. Looking at the comments Ayie said they were Yellow Bells, my notes say Esperanza Yellow Bells or Gold Star. I was pretty sure they weren't hibiscus. Might have to get some this year, they are pretty.
Whatever this flower be called, this is really nice to see. It adds beauty to our nature.
ReplyDeleteMine is up too.
OO, those are Yellow-Bellied Hickerdillies!! :) J/K I actually don't know what they are either. I did think my name for them sounded fun.
ReplyDeleteGreat close-up shots BTW, excellent use of macro techniques.
