One Beautiful Yellow Flower

The name of this flower temporary escapes my mind. I had it at the top of my thinking corner, but once I uploaded the pictures, I couldn't recall its name.

Now if you want me to look it up, I could too. But how would I describe it? Yellow colors and many petals? Do you know how many yellow petal flowers out there? It would take hours to find the result!

This is another beautiful flower at the Belle Isle Conservatory! I know this flower isn't the Rose of Sharon. It looks similar, but it has a different name! For goodness sake, it has just come back to me, it is HIBISCUS!

Have you experienced forgetfulness moment like me?

Icy, gorgeous bloom - and yes, more than I'd like to admit. :-)

A much needed shade of mellow yellow on this VERY snowy day. Great shot!

I always picture pink or red hibiscus, but as Shakespeare said "a rose by any other name would smell as sweet".

I always have these forgetfulness moments, and most of the times I cannot recall, but they come back when I do not need them.

I was going to say it looked like a Canna until I read that it was Hibiscus. I have many forgetful moments all day long!

Those yellow petals are so lovely. In summer I have yellow hibiscus growing in pots on my patio.

Very pretty! I was going to say carnation at first but I knew that was wrong.

Oh I think I am the king of forgetfulness and it is caused by my chronic habit of being easily distracted. I cannot describe in words how retarded and crackheaded I can be sometimes LOL.

And its a double hibiscus! What a great find!

A lovely sunny bloom!
I try not to have too many of those moments but somedays it seems it just can't be helped.

What a lovely yellow flower!
Indeed, a flower is ineffable.
Your photo of that unnamed flower is a picture of loveliness, a delight to behold.
It's an inspiration in this troubled world.
A picture such as yours speaks a thousand words of beauty.

P.S. I'm visiting your blog thru CMF Spikes.

Beautiful shots Icy. The perfect flower to start the week, it's like a ray of sunshine.

A very beautiful flower, indeed, and you captured its crepey texture quite nicely.

Icy, it is gorgeous, like the sun leaving part of itself on the earth for us to enjoy.

I really like yellow flowers. I think of them as pieces of the sun.

And I constantly experience forgetful moments.
