Scenic Sunday--Magnolia

I am sure by now many of us have seen blooming magnolias all over town. They are beautiful, and glorious to see. Many magnolia trees are either white or pink, and they can get very huge, like this one!

The weather has been very strange this year, lots of wind and rain so wherever the magnolias get the most sun, they are blooming first. This giant beautiful tree belongs to my neighbor next door.

I waited for a nice day with blue sky and sunny to take the pictures. It was very windy though, and hard have close-ups, but luckily I didn't have to go far to snap the pictures.

Enjoy other entries at Scenic Sunday!

  8. One of the most beautiful trees of spring, very nice shots Icy. The wind and rains are normal for our area this time of the year, our magnolia blooms are gone.

  10. It's odd to think that Nature doesn't take us into account when planning such beauty ......only the insects!

  13. These are so bright and beautiful but I miss the waxy white magnolias of my Southern upbringing! The ones of Scarlett O'Hara and "Gone With The Wind!"
