Yellow Tiger-Like Orchids
You can find this type of orchids at the Belle Isle Conservatory! They come in yellow, light pink, and lavender. They have little speckles/stripes like markings on tigers. I think the ID tag is in the back of these orchids, but I couldn't get to it.
These orchids were place in the back, so taking pictures of them was a bit difficult, but I like the shading/shadow around them. Orchids are always exotic to me, and these flowers prove it.
This was as close as I could take a picture of the flowers! I like the yellow petals with their brown stripes on them. They are just fantastic to see.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day!

I see these pretty often in flower shops in San Francisco. I think they are so lovely. I love sprays of the little orchids better than the large single orchids.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty orchids! It always amazes me that they can be grown indoors in conservatories.
ReplyDeleteThese lovely orchids belong to the Oncidium family. There's a huge variety too. I grow them too.

ReplyDeleteFlowers do have a way of recharging our energy don't they? There is very little that is more relaxing than a walk through a garden (or conservatory).
They do have some very interesting markings. It's fun to examine the patterns.
