Yellow Tiger-Like Orchids

You can find this type of orchids at the Belle Isle Conservatory! They come in yellow, light pink, and lavender. They have little speckles/stripes like markings on tigers. I think the ID tag is in the back of these orchids, but I couldn't get to it.

These orchids were place in the back, so taking pictures of them was a bit difficult, but I like the shading/shadow around them. Orchids are always exotic to me, and these flowers prove it.

This was as close as I could take a picture of the flowers! I like the yellow petals with their brown stripes on them. They are just fantastic to see.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day!

  2. I see these pretty often in flower shops in San Francisco. I think they are so lovely. I love sprays of the little orchids better than the large single orchids.

  10. You find the most interesting plants at Belle Isle, this orchid is lovely.

Flowers do have a way of recharging our energy don't they? There is very little that is more relaxing than a walk through a garden (or conservatory).
