Just Brown And Dry
This was the hydrangea that grew on the outside by the Conservatory at Belle Isle, and they were now all dried and brown by the cold weather.
Though the glorious flowers were gone, but the texture and colors of these were still interesting to see. They held their own beauty just for me to see.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful images. Boy do I have a word for you. We in the ecological world refer to withered plant parts that remain as marcescent. Great word! Anyways these photos show the marcescent part of this plant that can aid us with winter identification. Thought you might like that!
