Yellow In My World

The weeping willow trees were all yellow when I last visited Belle Isle, and I like the reflection of them in the water.  The object that you see at the top of this picture was flying trash, and there were plenty in the water too.  It was very sad to see plastic bags, bottles, and cans washing up at the edge of the water.

Belle Isle is such an unique little island in Metro Detroit but since it is neglectfully care for, all I can see is trash every where.  I feel for the critters that live in the water such as ducks, geese, turtles, and birds around there.

Under Seige

These were the sunrise in my city about a week ago, and our sky were nothing like this for the past few days.  We had gray sky and high wind.

I did try to snap a few pictures, but the sky was too gloomy for me to show.  Who needs to feel droopy the day after the feast of Thanksgiving?  Not me, and obviously not you!

I like to see colors in the sky since it's just glorious.  I saw the sunrise this morning, but didn't take any pictures because the weather was under 20 degrees, and it was too cold for me to hold my camera still.

Little Yellow Cactus Flower

Not good, not good, I'm telling! All the settings on my little camera were changed after my little man borrowed it to make some videos with his friends.  I forgot to reset them, so the photos turned out a bit grainy!

Anyway, these little yellow flowers were from the cactus plant I saw at the Belle Isle Conservatory.  They were very small, and maybe my camera wasn't capable of such a close up, or maybe because there was a lack of sunlight...Whatever, I can't blame it all on my little boy, can I?

Between the Trees

These photos were taken a couple of days ago, where the sky brought out this beautiful colors.  Those dots that you see at the top of the picture above, were actually fallen leaves since the wind was very strong that day!

It was a sight to see these colors in the sky in November.  My fingers were numbed just standing out there for these pictures even with a thick coat, gloves, and scarf.

Heart of Marigold

Marigold is the only flower that survived the cold weather around our home!  I had them in pot, and they continue to bloom even with frost.

We are already in middle of November, and despite the light snow on occasion, this marigold was still gorgeous and full of life.

Pretty soon these flowers will be buried under the snow, and their life force would be stopped until next spring.  For now, they're still producing and very resilient.

Blue Sky

" Life is a puzzle; every piece is put together to create who we are, what we do and how we feel. Every experience shapes us into who we eventually become. Every trauma we faced wasn't easy through its hurts but was allowed to shape our heart so that we'll grow into a better man we dreamt of."

" The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family; you will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success."

Just Brown And Dry

This was the hydrangea that grew on the outside by the Conservatory at Belle Isle, and they were now all dried and brown by the cold weather.

Though the glorious flowers were gone, but the texture and colors of these were still interesting to see.  They held their own beauty just for me to see.

Yellow Aster's Heart

I am not done with summer just yet, when these asters were still in bloom.  They were gorgeous under the sunlight, and the hearts of these flowers were just spectacular for macro shots.

Some asters had this yellow heart, while others have pink ones. I like them both, and spent many hours trying to get just the right shots with my 7 mega pixels point and shoot camera.

Some of the stamens looked like candles to me!  The beautiful white petals seemed to spread in the wind and flying.  I feel free just to look at this!

The Colors In My City

It is dark by 6:00 o'clock in our city when I come to fetch my son on the soccer field.  The sky put on a show of rainbow colors.  It was amazing, and distracting as the same time while I was behind the wheel.

I had to stop, pulled over to the side of the road, and shot with horn honking in my ears. I gave them my hand as "talk to the hand" sign, and waved them off.  "Don't mess around with a blogger," I thought.

The sky colors changed every minute, but were still beautiful.  This was my last shot before it got too dark for my camera to handle.  I didn't want to use flash on the street since I might blind some drivers, and caused an accident.
