Dancing Across the Ocean

I took a cruise with a group of friends a couple of weeks ago and had the time of my life. I truly feel as if I danced across the Atlantic Ocean. We cruised from New York to the Bahamas, and there was so much great dance music along the way that we spent every night on our feet. This ship had several clubs inside, playing contemporary rock music, jazz, and even big band music. We even took a dance lesson on board ship one afternoon.
We had so much fun that we didn't worry about a single thing going on back home. I was glad, though, that I set my home security alarm from homesecurity 101.com before I left my apartment to head for the port. I heard the evening I got home that one of my neighbors experienced an attempted break-on. But the intruder didn't make it, and all was well.
Such a thing doesn't make me feel afraid to take another trip like this in the future. In fact, I feel pretty secure with my setup. And life is too short to worry, isn't it? Especially when there is so much to see and do. I can't wait for the next cruise. Maybe we'll go to Puerto Rico next time.
