Yellow Primrose

I don't have these primroses in my house, or in my garden.  Nope, nope, no I don't! I took the pictures at one of those nurseries that I frequent to quench my thirst for colors and beauty.

We have rain almost every day, but I take it without complaint after seeing the devastation in Alabama. Hope and pray for help to those who had lost everything.

  1. Such delicate flowers, little rays of sunshine. It's pretty soggy here as well, been raining for over a week.

  2. Gorgeous flowers. I, too, often head into flower shops, groceries, etc, armed with my camera. I rarely buy anything but I certainly do enjoy the flowers I photograph.

Along with you, I mourn the tragedy in Alabama, especially Tuscaloosa, a city I visited in early high school. I went to boarding school near there my first year and my dorm mate took me home with her to Tuscaoolsa many time. We are still close friends, over 50 years later.

  5. Primroses are just the sweetest flowers in the world. These 2 macro shots are lovely. The colors are wonderful...the blues, oranges, and yellows. Lovely work.

  6. So pretty! I love going to nurseries just to take photos, since I don't have a garden ( staying in a high rise apartment).

  9. Haven't seen the news, but that sounds bad.
What strange weather all around the world. There we are, in the UK,and we have had a twelve week summer, warm with blue skies, sunshine and dry, dry, dry.

Most unusual and a little eerie. Not a drop of rain for twelve weeks and the garden is drying up. Not like a normal Spring.

Wonder what the real summer will bring. Most of my flowers are virtually over already. Weird. Climate change indeed.

BTW, my Open ID doesn't work anymore.

  14. Your post makes me think back to my childhood when I used to go into a plant nursery with my grandparents. I used to love going there with them. Years later I happened to move right around the corner from the same place only to have it close down within a year.
