I'm disabled and not sure I'm getting the color correctly but if I am, it reminds me of the hue of lilacs. I loved that color as well as the scent - a big bush grew under my grandmother's porch.

The thistle is beautiful, what a lovely shade of lavender. It must also have some really nice pollen to attract the bees.

I like your series of photos, sort of following a day in the life of this flower. The different lighting and visitors are all excellent.
